Heel and Buckle began as a drawing practice in London. The brief was simple. Design a shoe with a calm silhouette, honest proportions and nothing that shouts. London gave us that discipline. It taught us to edit, to remove the unnecessary and to trust a clean line.

Made

The designs travel to Delhi, where they become real. Our atelier sits a short walk from the lanes where many of the city's finest craftspeople have worked for generations. Here the patterns are cut, the leather is shaped and every pair is assembled under one roof. We keep the atelier small on purpose. It means the people who design a shoe can stand beside the people who make it.

Finished by hand

Machines can stitch quickly. They cannot judge a surface. We finish by hand because leather varies from hide to hide, and each piece asks for something slightly different. Edges are burnished until they feel smooth under the thumb. Colour is worked into the leather in layers. Soles are trimmed and polished with patience. No pair leaves the atelier until a craftsperson is satisfied with it.

The result is a shoe that looks composed on the first day and better with each year of wear.

Two sole families: Orion and Space

Every Heel and Buckle shoe is built on one of two sole families: Orion and Space. Each has its own profile, its own balance underfoot and its own character. Choosing between them is the first decision in finding your pair, and it shapes everything that follows. We keep the range focused so that each sole can be refined properly rather than multiplied for the sake of choice.

Prive, at your home

A good shoe should be fitted with care and without hurry. Prive is our private service for customers across Delhi NCR. We bring a selection to your home or office. You try the shoes in your own space, with your own clothes, at your own pace. Our team is there to advise on fit, on leather and on which sole family suits the way you walk.

There is no pressure and no crowded shop floor. Only a considered conversation and a pair of shoes made to last.
